When she was 21, she injured her low back and required a cane to walk. After a doctor told her she would be in pain for the rest of her life she began practicing yoga and today walks without a cane and is pain free. Inspired by her experience, she trained and became a certified Yoga teacher before going on to become a doctor.

Her additional studies in Naturopathy and classical Ayurveda affords her multiple resources and perspectives. She has been mentored by some amazing doctors and has practiced in a wide variety of clinical settings that have included substance abuse recovery, women’s health, cancer treatment as well as family care for both acute and chronic illnesses.
